Sarah Stoots, MD

Sarah Stoots joined Rheumatology Associates, Ltd., in 2022. She is board certified in Internal Medicine and board certified in Rheumatology. Dr. Stoots is a member of the consulting staff at Abington Health-Lansdale Hospital and Einstein Medical Center Montgomery.

 Dr. Stoots graduated with a B.S. in biology from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA. She spent two years as a healthcare consultant for Deloitte working with the Military Health System in Washington DC. She then received her medical degree from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York, NY and was elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She completed her internship and residency in Internal Medicine at New York Presbyterian - Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York City. She recently completed fellowship training in rheumatology at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA.

Dr. Stoots’ clinical interests include osteoporosis, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, systemic sarcoidosis, gout, pseudogout (calcium pyrophosphate deposition disease), osteoarthritis, lupus, myositis, and vasculitis. She has published several articles in peer-reviewed journals and presented at national conferences on psoriatic arthritis, antiphospholipid syndrome, and cardiovascular risk in lupus. She enjoys teaching medical students and residents, as well as coordinating with other subspecialists and primary care doctors to ensure her patients get the best possible care. She is a member of the American College of Rheumatology and Philadelphia Rheumatism Society.
